Founded in Sydney, Australia in 2025, British & Irish Expats Rugby is an invitational, representative rugby club providing a community and development pathway for British and Irish qualified players living in the Southern Hemisphere and Asia. Our players are guided by a coaching group that includes former internationals and those who have experience at the highest level, providing a high-performance environment to nurture talent.
We receive no funding from unions or governing bodies. We rely solely on the support of our partners to deliver competitive, world-class fixtures.

At least 1.5 million British and Irish expats live across the Southern Hemisphere and Asia, and for many of them, rugby clubs have become a home away from home. We are uniting that scattered community under one representative jersey, giving British and Irish players abroad the chance to represent their roots, stand alongside others who made the same journey, and prove what our sport has always done best: bringing people together no matter how far from home they are.
